    How do we Know that Preventatism is Successful?

    Until these last few years or so, Preventatism could only offer theories about the dangers attributable to the undefended incoming distresses of human life.

    Preventatism was developed as a philosophic hypothesis back in 1959, and became in the 1970s and 1980s a therapeutic system for people who had developed a stress-related disorder.

    Preventatism was founded on evolutionary theories about human development, which seemed to have sound, realistic and reasonable bases.  Back in those years, very few believed that stress was the danger the Preventatists at the time believed, and philosophy was seen as having very little to do with health!

    As an increasing number of clinical studies are showing, those theories were accurate.

    Preventatism is now more widely used as a defence method for people who are well and healthy and want to stay that way.

    Since around 2013, there have been published many studies, which related stress to a considerable number of disorders and adverse conditions.

    Stress is now being seen as the threat to wellbeing that Preventatists have always thought it is.


    The big advantage of Preventatism, is that it has had long years to develop and become very efficient in defence against stress.

    Preventatism has not been flung together in a couple of months, as a quick fix for an emerging problem.

    How do you know Preventatism works?

    We are confident about Preventatism for three very good reasons.

    Firstly; when it was being used primarily as a therapeutic technique for people who suffered a stress-related disorder, Preventatism provided relief to thousands. Not everyone, but most. This was observable though anecdotal, and became a normal outcome.

    For example, people experiencing problems with anger, anxiety, grief and stress-related problems gained comfortable lives by using Preventatism. It is true that not everyone can use the techniques, since it is a philosophy with interesting facets, but most people can.

    Secondly, in 2001, (1) a study of those people who had used Preventatism to assist in getting rid of the tobacco habit was published, and the results showed that Preventatism had a better outcome than a specific drug, (Bupropion Hydrochloride),  prescribed for tobacco abstention.

    In fact, Preventatism showed almost twice the successful quit rate of the chemical method over a period of 12 months from quitting.

    Since smoking and stress are closely related, this outcome is significant.

    Thirdly, used as a technique in workshops, for healthy people who wish to remain so, Preventatism has shown many good and successful outcomes over several decades.

    We think that the more people we can help to keep themselves and their families out of the unwellness loop the more cash we shall save from the National Budget, and we shall all benefit.
